Today's my first day back to work after a nice long 10 day vacation.
While I'm riding in the elevator, some dipshit actually says to me:
"You've been missing a lot of work lately, well maybe you haven't been missing it. Hurh Hurh."
Then this tool goes on to tell me:
"I've never taken that long of a vacation. There is just too much work to do. I wouldn't feel right about being out so long"
My response was simple:
"Really, wow. That explains why everyone says you're such a raging cock."
He looked surprised and then asked "Who says that?"
I replied "Well for starters, me."
He then proceeded to shut the fuck up.

Just got my advance copy of Ministry's Adios Puta Madres, their final album.
It is a live album that was recorded on during the CU-LaTour in 2008.
While the Denver show of that tour wasn't the best Ministry show I've seen,
this CD isn't all that bad. I wrote a full review on
It is sad that Uncle Al is putting Ministry to rest, but good in a way.
After The Last Sucker, I think it is safe to say that Ministry has run out of juice.
(Rumor has it that a New LARD album will be out in May)

Ministry will always be the Great Grand Daddy of Industrial Rock/Metal. They were my gateway drug.
The Land of Rape and Honey changed the way I look at music.
Hands down the band that has had the most impact on me.
Via Con Dios Puta!

Another busy day.
Hub Caps, Band Practice, Drain Fixing, Questions, Operation Clean Sweep.
Always more work to do.....
Anyway, here's a pic from the Zoo Trip on 3/19/09 by Grand Pappy J.

March 28, 2009

Busy day.
Movies, Drama, changing Cat litter, vomit, driving, cleaning, computers.
And listening to John Carpenter's movie music:

March 27, 2009

Went to see "The Haunting in Conneticut" today.
There was nothing really new or earth shattering.
The trailer shows you the scariest moments.
I thought the Discovery Channel Special on the real
Haunting in Conneticut was much scarier.
Still an OK movie.

March 26, 2009

I watched an incredible film today.
Let the Right One In
It is about a 12 year old boy named Oscar who is bullied but does nothing to defend himself.
He meets a girl named Eli who has moved in next door.
Eli is the friend Oscar desperately needs. She tells him how to stand up for himself.
It is a beautiful film about growing up.
Oh, did I mention that Eli is a vampire.

Man, what a busy and productive day that was all about music.
First Off, Paper Street Tourists had a great night.
We have been working hard to master our digital 16 track recorder.
And we made some major progress tonight.
We recorded & posted our Silent Hill tribute: Silent Hill Sanctuary.
It is just a scrath track for now, but we will be mastering everything soon.
Click the pic to link to our MySpace page and listen.
Then scroll down to check out some new Mix Master Munson stuff.

Before PST practice, I made some 100% original electronic music from scratch.
Nothing but me, my laptop and my drum machine.
And I've got to say, I am really proud of it.
It has a very Front 242, Front Line Assembly, Contagion feel to it.
I think it is some of my best work to date as Mix Master Munson.

Blue Fluid (short version), Blue Fluid (Long Version) and Kitchen Table Video Game Techno.

New Music March continues.
Today's purchase, KMFDM's new album BLITZ.
Only 2 tracks in but it seems pretty good.

I love and hate the Dark Crystal. I saw it as a kid and it terrified me.
But, as soon as I left the theater, I thought it was the coolest movie ever.
My parents got me a metal Dark Crystal lunch box later that week, which I still have.
But yet, to this day, when I watch the movie, it feels like
a really bad Fever Dream.
So, today I finally bought it on DVD.

Agent Mulder found another good one.
Here is another product that makes you wonder if anyone in marketing thought it through.

March 20, 2009

Agent Mulder found some more goodies today.
Here are some scenes from the new movie Alien vs. Predator: End Games

March 19, 2009

Zoo Field Trip!
You know what that means. Jason vs. The Peacocks!

March 18, 2009

Got the new Static-X album.
Not really all that impressed. Only 3 tracks really standout.
But what I want to know is, why are bands doing covers of Motley Crue & Poison?
On the Best Buy exclusive version, there are covers of "Looks that Kill" and "Talk Dirty to Me"?!?
80's Glam rock sucks. Dave Mustaine said it best:
"GLAM stand for Gay L.A. Metal"

March 17, 2009

Here's to a night of music, drinking, fighting, drinking
music, drinking, drinking, fighting, music
drinking, fighting and drinking.

March 16, 2009

Agent Mulder showed my this site.
It's pretty damn funny.

March 15, 2009

Ron Silver died today. A good actor who I'll miss.
See Blue Steel, he is awesome as a sick pervert psycho.
Here is a great scene with him from the West Wing.
(Good rant too. Take that you Leave it to Beaver Right Wingers)

March 14, 2009

Lazy Day. Mellow Day. Nice day.

March 11, 2009

South Park: Season 12, Episode 14
The Ungroundable
The Best Episode EVER. Takes me back to 1991.

March 10, 2009

Dealing with sick kids is never fun.

March 9, 2009

"Agent Mulder" sent me another good pic today.

March 8, 2009

Well, went to see the Watchmen last night and it was great.
Really a good movie. The only down side was that Carla Gugino didn't have enough screen time.
But that is me. A four hour movie of nothing but her jogging on a beach
wouldn't be long enough.
Still, all in all, not a bad adaptation.
We all went out afterwards for beers and of course our dicussion on the movie
focused on the large amount of screen time Dr. Manhattan's penis had.
And on the IMAX, that's a lot of blue penis.

March 7, 2009

This is what Jasin Serby calls the "Techno".
All I need to complete the look is a golden grill and a track suit!

Plus, we are going to see the Watchmen IMAX tonight
so we can see Dr. Manhattan's big blue smurf "glory" on a really big screen!

March 6, 2009

The Watchmen movie comes out today.
The next big comic book movie is X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
And the marketing machine is already in motion for that one.
Check out the new "Blow Me" Wolverine punching bag.
Thanks to "Agent Mulder" for the Pics.

Jesus, does no one think this stuff through?

March 5, 2009

Lots of new music out there and most of it is pretty good.
Here are the 4 new albums I am listening to this week:

Darren Emerson - Global Underground 36 Bogota

Lamb of God - Wrath

Revolting Cocks (REVCO) - Sex-o Olypmic-o

The Prodigy - Invaders Must Die

March 4, 2009

It's starting to get warm out. I am going to miss the winter.

March 1, 2009

I was grocery shopping today & I picked up a magazine while standing in line.
Normally, I would never read this magazine, but something about it just caught my eye.
She is a picture perfect example of good women's health!
