A Real Life Death Star.
Meet Mimas, a moon of Saturn.

An unknown (to me at least) Clyfford Still painting hanging in the Met in New York.
I stood and looked at this thing for ten minutes.
I fell in love about 4 minutes in.

Jackson Pollock said of Clyfford Still: "[He] makes the rest of us look academic."

Clyfford Still himself:

It's back

March 20th - March 28th, 2010

The road trip wasn't as eventful as planned.
Instead it turned out to be blissfully lazy and chill.
Plus, Mother Nature decided to act like a whinny bitch and rain on us most of the time.
Here are some stats and then some pics from places:

- 2,158 miles traveled
- 6 failed attempts to go to a White Castle
- 1 successful trip to a White Castle
- 5 White Castle Chicken Sliders consumed by me
- 6 Gerhard Richter Paintings seen in person
- One 27 minute backtrack thru Illinois by mistake
- 2 failed attempts to go to the Jefferson Expansion Memorial aka The Arch
- 3 Trips to Downtown Beaver Dam
- 2 odd signs pertaining to meat
- 1 was the number of blizzards we got stuck in
- 147 homemade biscuits consumed by 4 people in 3.5 days
- 14.5lbs was the average weight of each home cooked meal

- 1 person complimented my shirt
- 4 happy family members made it home safe & sound

Taking it to the streets

March 20, 2010 is hitting the road.
We will be posting updates, when we can find some webernet access.
We'll be posting pictures of places we've been and people we meet along the way.
Check back to see updates from across America.

All good things eventually go bad

March 19, 2010

Songs of the Day:
Joseph Arthur - Honey and the Moon                     Siouxsie and the Banshees - Cities in Dust

Well, Friday is upon us.
And the Road Trip is too.
Let's see what's in the news that's caught my eye:

Can the Pope be fired?

("I once covered up a sex scandal this big!")

I know this has been in the news a lot this week, but I still can't believe it.
Only in America can we have people who want to do shit like this.
I hope some starving 3rd world nation sees this bitch and plans to go cannibal on her fat ass.

(This is what I call Throbbing Gristle)

As Agent X puts it, "Hey, we'll take what we can get"

Here's some Red Meat for your diet:

4 alarm hangovers and used sauerkraut

March 18, 2010

Song of the Day:
Cradle of Filth - Temptation

(Black Metal goes Pop with a cheesy video ta boot)

I got bit by the Irish and they bite hard.
Almost a dozen car bombs and some pitchers.
There is a 4 hour gap in my memory from last night.
But I woke up on my couch just in time for the new South Park.
After it was over, I had to recycle some sauerkraut.
Which for the record, does not go well with Jameson.
I have a 4 alarm hangover. I know this because I see four sets of flashing lights
when I close my eyes.
So, all in all, a great night!!!

Here's some

March 16, 2010

This is the disgusting.
It is shit like this that kills free thought and the search for truth.
I read this article and was dumbfounded.

(This man is the enemy of free thought)

It's like something out of a George Orwell novel.
We posted something about this on January 20 this year.
History written by politics and bigotry.
I never thought it would pass.
This is the 21st century.
Things like this happened in the Dark Ages.
Please take the time to read the article, all of it.
Because once things like this start, it's just a hop, skip and a jump
away from Authoritarian Rule with Draconian like consequences for free thought.
If it doesn't scare the living shit out of you, never mind.
Go back to watching Fox News and eating Big-Macs.
But if it bothers you, then take notice.
Tell others, do something.
We can not sit by and let things like this happen.

here to read Agent X's blog and his thoughts on this subject

Angel & Butterfly Caught

Obama is expected to push through the current version of the Healthcare Reform bill this week.
In my opinion, the bill is not perfect.
But is is certainly a big step in the right direction.
It's nice to see Obama acting like the Jedi Master he is.

(This picture is the reason Obama will always be cool in my book)

What the hell, here's some more Massive Attack:

Trapped in a park covered in mud having a blasty

March 14, 2010

Song of the Day:
Front Line Assembly - The Blade

Had a blasty yesterday playing in the park all day with kiddos.
Sure, we got locked out of the house.
And yes, I did fall in the mud and bounce down a hill.
But, that was minor compared to the fun we were having!
We played kickball, went on hiking adventures, threw sticks in the yucky water,
played with our Doctor Who toys and found some weird stuff in trees.

Dumbest thing I've read this weekend:
Sweaty iPod user sues Apple.
You mean that you, Mr. Steve Vale, had no idea electronic devices and moisture don't mix.
Maybe Apple should sue you, dumb-ass.

This recession is impacting 2 groups:

The Rich are doing well.
The NOT Rich aren’t doing so well.

No surprise really, that is what it was designed to do.
Thanks for working to help us middle class working folks Uncle Sam!

Fuck Glenn Beck.
Even right wing Evangelicals hate him:

Here is an awesome T-Shirt design for any expecting parents out there.
It was the T-Shirt of the day for March 10th, 2010 on
Every time I see it, my blood just turns to acid.

Kathryn Bigelow becomes the first woman ever to win an Oscar for Best Director.
Hats off to you!

But Near Dark is one of my favorite Vampire flicks and is in my top 100 movies of all time!
So here's to you Kathryn!

Did you know that as of yesterday, Avatar has made $2,559,189,000 worldwide.

Only in America

March 5, 2010

Song of the Day:
Fluke - Absurd (Whitewash remix)

The Republicants are not the party of no, but the party of
"Fuck No".
They have no plan except to scare people into voting for them.
This shouldn't come as a surprise, but still.
What a bunch of assholes.

(I used a picture with boobs in it to get your attention)

Only in America can shit like this happen.

When California gets racist, I get worried.
Well, I get worried when anyone is racist.
I have no tolerance for anyone who hates someone on the basis of skin color, who they fuck and what god they believe in.
This is the 21st century.
If you're still stuck in the South circa 1860, then do us all a favor;
Build a time machine and go back in time to the Pre-Civil War South and stay there.
Oh, wait. You're too fucking stupid to build anything.
So instead, suck it.

The Light of Day will keep you up all night

March 4, 2010

Song of the Day:

Yesterday's mission:
Sit on my ass and do nothing.

Funny of the Day:
Agent X found these. Headlines so stupid, they have to be real.

"Even now in Heaven there are Angles carrying savage weapons."

March 3, 2010

Song of the Day:
Aphex Twin - Come to Daddy

Watched "The Prophecy" last night.
An OK movie. Christopher Walken is fuck nuts.
His portrayal of
Gabriel is awesome.
I have always been interested in "The War in Heaven"
and the division amongst The Angels.
During "The War" one third of the Angels were cast out with the Morning Star.
I've always thought the idea of an Angel is scary.
They are sent by God to watch over man and yet
they are also used as instruments by God to punish man.
Here is a great quote from "The Prophecy" that asks many of the same questions
I've asked myself on the subject:

"Did you ever notice how in the Bible, when ever God needed to punish someone, or make an example, or whenever God needed a killing, he sent an angel? Did you ever wonder what a creature like that must be like? A whole existence spent praising your God, but always with one wing dipped in blood. Would you ever really want to see an angel?"

To balance out the heavy, here's something light.
This is how Jamaica watched Doctor Who in 1982.

Bullshit in a pretty package is still Bullshit

March 2, 2010

Song of the Day:
Boom Boom Satellites - Easy Action

Just a couple of quick Political Updates today.....

First, this:

This Bullshit about missing Bush has got to stop.
Short of nuking the world, there is nothing Obama could do to fuck up this country
more than what George W. Bush has already done.
Obama would have to create new ways to fuck up in order to be worse than George "Señor Peligro" W. Bush.
To steal a line,
The only person who ever missed Bush was the guy who threw a shoe at him.

Next, this fucking guy:

This pile of shit Republicant from Kentucky voted no on the unemployment/COBRA extensions.
Let me break this down.
Senator Fuck Face here took it upon himself to reign in Government spending. He said enough was enough. So he voted no on the 10 Billion needed to keep the program alive. But last year, he was cool with giving hundreds of BILLIONS to bailout the failing banking & insurance industry. Now that this program is ending, people who have been laid off due to the Financial System crash, will lose their insurance and only source of income. Some people will lose it as early as next week.
So Senator Jim “Pile of Shit” Bunning, thanks for taking a stand.
Thanks a lot.
If you think I am being to harsh, click the pic, read the article and watch the video.
This guy was a prick even before he voted it down.
If I get laid off, which I may very soon, and I can't find work within
13 weeks, I'm going to send you my bills Mr. Bunning.
But don't worry, you aren't running for re-election, so when you pay my mortgage,
it won't be considered government spending!

Now that was just my rant.
I'm going to ask Agent X to write up his thoughts on the subject.
Let's also have Agent X weigh in on where we are at with Health Care Reform/Deform/SNAFU.
Will post that soon. Be sure to check his blog as well.

That was heavy.
Here's something light:

A new month begins as we March to war!

March 1, 2010

Song of the Day:
Hardknox - Come in Hard

So did anybody watch the Hockey Game yesterday?
And in Overtime no less.
Well, it was a good game none the less.
All I have to say about it is this:

Well, and this too:

I joke, I joke.
Canada isn't all bad.
If you can get past Bryan Adams and Celine "Dijon",
you'll see that they do have some good stuff to offer:
