Bela Lugosi is still Dead

In Honor of October, the creepy month, every daily update will feature a movie that has that October feel to it.

October 31, 2009

And Happy Birthday to Agent X.

Head Banging

Our Number 1 Scary/Gory/Eerie October Creepfest move is:

The Exorcist

Well, duh. This is still, the scariest movie of all time.
Nothing is scarier or creepier than this!
Well, other than your mom.

October 30, 2009

Our Number 2 all time favorite Creepfest movie:

Scary, Gory, and filled with Aliens just waiting to burst out of your chest.
This is the best of all worlds.
Sci-Fi + Horror + Old School War Movie + H.R. Giger's Alien + James Cameron + Michael Biehn = Fucking Awesome

October 29, 2009

Today's Movie:

Jacob's Ladder

A real mind bender.
This movie is not easy to sum up.
Simply put: Disturbing.

October 28, 2009

Today's Movie -

The Exorcist III

Scary as hell.
Elderly ladies crawling on the ceiling.
A killer with really big garden shears.
Specimen Cups.
This is much different than the original Exorcist.
This is based on William Peter Blatty's novel sequel to the Exorcist, Legion.
The Story revolves around Lt. Kinderman & Father Dyer.
Remember the end of the original?
Did you think that Father Karras died after Father Dyer administered the Last Rights?
Not quite.

The 2009/2010 NBA season has started.
This is the first season for Jack's new seat.

(Fuck the Lakers)

October 27, 2009

This next movie in our October-Fest is the definition of creepy:

the ring

It seems almost cliche now,
but at the time, the ring was so freaky.
Hands down the best American remake of a Japanese horror film.
Everything about this movie is designed to make you feel uncomfortable.
The use of colors, the plot, the overall oppressive tones, the plot twists, even the weather in the movie.
But the creepiest part,
This little girl made you afraid of video tapes & wells.

October 26, 2009

We have so many wonderful things to show you this week.

For starters, here is Agent X's picture of the day

Old Uncle Al Jourgensen has finally gone off the deep end.
It's bad enough that Al keeps milking Ministry.
According to Al, Ministry's last album was supposed to be "The Last Sucker".
Well, that was 2 albums ago.
It's bad enought that on the "last" tour he was lip synching when Burton Bell wasn't doing his vocal parts.
But this shit, he's gone too far.
Al Jourgensen is releasing a Christmas song.
Uncle Al, take some advice from a long time fan,
"Stick a fork in it, you're done.
Just Stop! Shut the fuck up and enjoy retirement!"

Enough with the funny Halloween Month movies.
From now till Halloween are our favorite creepy movies.
Today's entry gets us back on track:

Event Horizon

The haunted house in outer space movie.
Not the best movie. So much potential.
For what it lacks in plot, it makes up for in visuals.
Very stylistic, very creepy, very bloody, very cool.
It does deliver quite a few scares.

October 25, 2009

Continuing on the Funny October Movie thing:

Young Frankenstein

Agent X and I went back and forth on this one.
He was right!
This is a frickin' classic.

October 24, 2009

Not all of our October movies are scary.
Some are slightly creepy but are really funny.
Like this little gem from Tim Burton.

This movie really isn't all that scary,
but damn if it just doesn't feel like a Halloween month movie.

Now this has nothing to do with the movie, but it cracks me up!

October 23, 2009

Holy Crap.
I have been behind on my updates!
So, here is what you've been missing this week.

From Agent X:
Moon Physics are 5 times better than Earth’s pithy physics...
So says Err. Committing Grand Theft Coffee table (he’s in your house, stealing all your stuff).
‘Cause we are the Aqua Teens.

Click this Earth Pigs to read about the origin of the moon!

If Pandas had a sweet ass like this,
people would do more to save the pandas.

(Look, Panda Express. Yummy!)

Creepfest Entry of the Day
(one of Agent X's favorites):

High Plains Drifter

This is the oddest western I've ever seen.
It starts out with your typical rough and mean western cliches. the time you figure out that Clint Eastwood's nameless "Stranger"
is the Ghost of the town's old Marshall come back to get revenge on the town that let him die,
it's too late.
He's has literally painted the town red and renamed it Hell.

October Creepfest Entry for the Day:

We've had plenty of Ink updates on this site in since April.
But we are adding it to the October Creepfest list.
The visuals of this movie are so unique.
Beautiful, Sinister and Uncanny.

October 21, 2009

Oh, and it's Wednesday too!
Hump Day picture:

Today's Creepfest Entry:

The Thing

Part one of John Carpenter's "Apocalypse Trilogy".
This is a remake of the cult 50's Sci-Fi flick.
John Carpenter's version is much scarier & gorier.
Plus it has Wilford Brimley in his most chilling role ever.
This ain't Quaker Oats bitches!

nosajmunson's pic of the day:
Cheap Stop Light Fix.
Thanks City Goverment, you suck balls!

October 20, 2009

Today was Bela Lugosi's Birthday.
And just in case you're wondering,
Bela Lugosi is still dead.
The bats have left the belfry.
Bela Lugosi's Dead.

Today's Creepfest Entry:

The Prince of Darkness

Part Two in John Carpenter's "Apocalypse Trilogy".
This movie is scary, gory, disturbing, and it has Alice Cooper.
You'll never feel the same about Satan, Green Fluid, Time Traveling Nightmares and Cockroaches after this little ditty.
Oh, did I mention the devil jizz projectile vomit and skinless chicks?

October 19, 2009

Agent X wants you to read this Article.

October Movie Entry for Today:

One of the most inivative movies of the 90's.
David Fincher at his best.
Nothing cliche about this Cops-Catch-Serial-Killer flick.
It raised the bar for surprise twists and turns.
This movie stays with you long after you watch it.
And you'll never hear the phrase "What's in the Box?" again without thinking of the ending.

We like jeans.
Oddly enough, these are 7 jeans.

October 18, 2009

Lots of Updates today.

Listening to the Animatrix Soundtrack.
I really do love Freeland's
"Big Wednesday".

Went on a Photo Hunt this morning.
Got some great pics.
The Photo Section has been updated.

Today's Creepfest Entry:

Stephen King's It

Not too bad for a TV mini-series adaptation of the book.
When you find out that the monster is just a giant alien spider, it  fizzles out.
But, Tim Curry is damn scary as Pennywise.
Pennywise is the reason people are afraid of clowns.

Speaking os scary things......
I hate Food Network's Paula Dean.
Her favorite dessert, Kids soaked in butter then deep fried to perfection.

October 17, 2009

Today's entry into our October Creepfest is one of my favorite movies:

Donnie Darko

This movie is unclassifiable.
It has elements of Sci-Fi, horror, mystery, teen romance, suspense,
But it can not be put into any one category.
It fits the October Vibe even though it isn't that creepy.
Except Frank.

October 16, 2009

Today's Creepfest October Movie-a-thon entry is dedicated to

There have been hundreds of movies about Zombies.
Some creepy, some scary, some gory, some cheesy and even some that are fun.
Agent X took me to see Zombieland last night.
It is hands the the funniset "Zombedy" I have ever seen.
Colorado Springs is going to host a its own Zombie Crawl on October 23rd!
More on that later!
Here are some of my favorite zombie movies.

Zombie Land

Fuck this Clown!

Night of the Living Dead

Fulci's Zombie2 aka Zombie

Shark vs. Zombie

Dead Snow

Now, although this isn't a movie, I really love this new trend.
Hot Zombie Chicks

What do you look like? It depends who is looking.

October 15, 2009

Today's October Movie Entry:
The Mothman Prophecies
This is a great eerie movie.
So good in fact that is makes chapstick creepy.

Excuse me, who are you?

October 14, 2009

Lots of updates today.

Yacht Rock.
Good stuff.
Did you ever wonder how Warren G & Nate Dogg came to sample
Michael McDonald for their hit Regulate?
Well, watch Yacht Rock Episode #7 and all of your questions will be answered.

Agent X's picture of the day:

Creepfest Entry for the day:
The Abandoned
A Horror Fest movie from 2007/2008.
A really creepy flick.
The plot is hard to follow at times, but it does deliver many scares.
The cinematography is beautifully morose. The use of colors is fantastic in setting the ultra
eerie, sad and oppressive tone of the movie.

Agent X's second picture of the day:

October 13, 2009

Check out a list of Agent X's favorite bands here

Today's October Creepfest entry:
In the Mouth of Madness
Directed by the Legendary John Carpenter,
this is a bizarre mind bender.
Sam Neil does a great job at losing his shit.
Not my favorite John Carpenter flick, but certainly in the top 10.
In the Mouth of Madness is part three in his "Apocalypse Trilogy".
Part one is The Thing & part two is The Prince of Darkness.
More on those later this month.

October 12, 2009

A new collector's edition of Audition has just been released.
This is one of the most disturbing movies I have ever seen.
The idea of the movie is standard:
Guy meets crazy girl, crazy girl falls for guy, crazy girl tries to kill guy.
But this girl is the worst crazed girlfriend in all of film.
Glenn Close's Alex Forrest in Fatal Attraction looks like a Girl Scout compared to Eihi Shiina's Asami.
A boiling rabbit is nothing compared to Piano Wire.

October 11, 2009

Ice day.
Pajamas, F2 fits, Black Light Mini Golf, Family Games of Candyland.
Here's so more stuff from the show on Friday:

October-ish Movie Entry:

The Addams Family & Addams Family Values.
Granted these two movies aren't as scary as other entries on our October Creepfest.
But they really do set the tone for Halloween.
And they're funny as hell.

October 10, 2009

KMFDM last night was awesome!
Agent X & I met up with Garth & Steph, 2 of the coolest concert friends in the world.
I drank half my weight in Jack n' Cokes and the other half in PBR.
Made some new friends and bumped into old friends.
The opening bands,
KMFDM was awesome. I would've liked for them to play more old stuff,
But all in all, good times!

Today's Creepfest Entry:
Let the right on in
At its heart, it is an eerie, uncomfortable, bloody coming of age love story between a boy and a vampire.

October 9, 2009

KMFDM @ The Gothic Theater in Denver

Today's Creepfest Entry:
Doctor Who "The Empty Child"
Usually, Doctor Who is pretty campy, fun and melodramatic.
But this particular episode is eerie to the Nth degree thanks to the Empty Child.

October 8, 2009

Lots of updates today.
First off, Transformers: Man Love.
This is a little project I'm working on for

Tonight in theaters across the country, Riff Trax's Plan 9 from Outer Space
will be shown.
It's not MST3K, but it's as close as you're gonna get.

Today's Creepy Movie pick comes from Agent X.
One of our all time favorites, the horror classic:
The Shining

October 7, 2009

Today's Creepfest entry:
The PHANTASM movie series.
Gory, creepy, often cheesy, these 4 movies are some of the
best low budget horror flicks ever made.

October 6, 2009

Today's Creepy Movie:

Excuse me, who are you? Excuse me, who are you? Excuse me, who are you?

We Belong Dead Together Forever

October 5, 2009

Just listened to an AMAZING set by Marshall Watson on dirty_radio.
Click here to view/download/subscribe to his Beat.Repeat shows on dirty_radio.
Click here to buy/download music by Marshall Watson.

Today's Creepfest Movie is Videodrome.
David Cronenberg is the grand master of disturbing cinema.
Long live The New Flesh.

October 4, 2009

10-4 Good Buddy.
Exactly 3 years ago today, my life changed for the better a second time.
Happy B-Day to my little Wild Man.

This morning when I woke up, it was foggy.
The mist and clouds through the trees reminded me of Outpost.
One of the best Nazi/Ghost/Haunted Underground base/Low Budget horror films.

October 3, 2009

This movie really gets to me.
THEM (ils)

October 2, 2009

Bela Lugosi is still dead

My new favorite T-Shirt!

That's really what I think. Oh by the way, which one's

October 1, 2009

Pink Floyd in my ears, Sleepy Hollow playing in the theater of my mind.
Yearning for the long overdue Band Practice.
Wanting to hear Agent X's drums of war.
Double Bass Pedal Metal.
Soon now.
